8min · Caspar 55min

🅱️ Anchor Bay Campground——Week 2

🅾️ Ocean Cove——

🅿️ Gualala Point Reg.

🌲 Stillwater Cove Reg.

💤 圈内但出局:Timber Cove(Ray 8/1 查 ~$95+/晚,太贵)· Salt Point(无淋浴——除非这周买个~$25淋浴袋,立刻变最便宜)· Fort Ross Reef 营地重开了($40先到先得)但旱营无水无澡——记录在案。

🎯 Why this week is special

Week 1's tides missed your schedule; Week 2 hits the bullseye: big dawn minus tides run through the work week, with the bottom of the tide landing almost exactly at first light — 40 minutes on the reef before work, back by 6:00, zero PTO spent. Saturday 8/15 the low slides to 7:30 in full daylight = the leisurely harvest day. This is the structure July wanted but the tides refused.

⭐ Three-star days: Tue 8/11 (04:51 · −1.21, still ≈−0.9 at first light) · Wed 8/12 (05:34 · −1.17, low tide = dawn) · Sat 8/15 (07:30 · +0.12, slow daylight harvest + the Caspar uni run).

💵 Price disclaimer (the Week 1 lesson): every price on this page is tagged with its source + date; the checkout page or the sign at the gate is the only truth. Constraints: ① open Starlink sky ② showers required ③ ≤1 hour from Sea Ranch Lodge. You're already living on this coast during Week 1 — your new superpower is scouting in person before committing.
⓪ Easiest · Extend wherever Week 1 workedKnown price · zero moving

If Week 1's base delivered on Starlink and showers — just extend it online mid-week and be done. The only reasons to move: a change of scenery, or getting closer to this week's tide spots. Below are the "if moving" options.

🚿 Coin showers🏞️ Huge open bluff meadow = top-tier sky→Lodge 25minFirst-come · open 4/1–11/30

You're nearby all Week 1 — drive over Thursday/Friday afternoon and look: how full the meadow runs, what the showers are like, run an obstruction scan. Like it → claim a spot Sunday morning (August Sundays usually have room before noon, but no guarantee — that's its one gamble).

🅿️ Gualala Point Reg.Official: $37 + $7 res fee
🚿 $2/5min🌐 Online→Lodge 12min

Sold out for Week 1 ≠ sold out for Week 2 — 8/9–16 is checkable online right now. Same weakness: redwood canopy = weak sky. If Week 1 taught you "Starlink survives trees", this one resurrects.

🌲 Stillwater Cove Reg.County range $32–45
🚿 Coin showers🌐 Online→Lodge 25min⚠️ bring water

Trees + no signal — ranked last, but cheap/showered/online as the safety floor.

💤 In radius but out: Timber Cove (Ray checked 8/1: ~$95+/night — too pricey) · Salt Point (no showers — unless you buy a ~$25 solar bag this week, then it's instantly the cheapest) · Fort Ross Reef CG has REOPENED ($40 FCFS) but it's dry — no water, no showers — logged for the record. Outside radius: Van Damme / Russian Gulch at ~1h05–1h15, over the line and treed anyway.

10:00🤔 The fork: ① home to rest (it's been two weeks) ② a third week (flat tides — pure work-from-camp + new scenery) ③ move up the coast (Mendocino village area?). Tide-wise the next minus cycle returns ~8/24 — chase it then if you want
PM🚗 Home to Santa Clara (~3.5–4 h, Santa Rosa Supercharger en route) or on to the next camp

💻 Work setup (same skeleton as Week 1)

Rhythm unchanged: up at 5 · work 6:00–14:00 · afternoons free. The only new element = dawn sessions: on ⭐ days wake 4:45, hard 5:55 pull-out (set a phone alarm), Cassie online at 6:00 sharp. The failover ladder, link log, and energy ledger all live on the Week 1 page's 💻 tab — not duplicated here.

⏰ Still true: 6:00–8:00 AM has no cafe fallback (the Lodge café opens at 8:00). If you return at 5:55 and Starlink is down: phone hotspot → drive to the nearest town (KOA → Point Arena 10 min) → dial in by phone. Confirm Starlink is online BEFORE leaving for the dawn session — don't discover an outage at 5:56.
📡 This week's Starlink experiment: keep the 5:45 daily speed log; on Saturday's Caspar run, pack the dish and do one "30-minute rapid redeploy" test on arrival — the actual daily skill of nomad life.
🪪 Licenses are mandatory this week (Week 1's pier freebie doesn't cover this): urchins/seaweed/shore harvesting all need a California sport fishing license. 2026 nonresident (CDFW official, checked 7/31): 10-day $64.54 (started 8/9 it covers the whole week) · 1-day $21.09 · annual $174.14. One each. Buy in the CDFW online store → screenshot + print. Pier crabbing stays license-free (public-pier privilege).

🚫 Unchanged no-gos: Dungeness closed statewide · wild-mussel quarantine through 10/31 · abalone closed · Gerstle Cove / Stewarts Point reserves = look only · call (800) 553-4133 before eating any harvest. Safety: sneaker waves are this coast's #1 killer — one person watches the ocean, leave when the tide turns, headlamps + grippy shoes, and pre-dawn sessions are strictly two-in-two-out.

🌅 The dawn-session card (tape it in the car)

Night beforeGear by the car door · thermos pre-loaded · clothes laid out · confirm Starlink online · asleep by 21:00

⭐ The dawn venues favor a northern base (from the KOA circle, Bowling Ball/Stornetta are ≤15 min); from a southern base (Ocean Cove/Stillwater) use the Salt Point outer reefs / Sea Ranch stair beaches instead — never drive 45 dark minutes at 5 AM.

⚡ Charging (Week 1 conclusions carry over)

No Superchargers on the coast; Point Arena City Hall L2 (451 School St) = charge during pier/lighthouse time; top up at Fort Bragg Supercharger on Saturday's Caspar run; big shops at Santa Rosa. A powered site refills the car nightly. 📵 Offline maps + set each day's nav before leaving, as always.
